Scotgrass 2010: Greenmaster for high-output pasture rejuvenation
Of all the many grass drills and reseeding units at Scotgrass, this was surely one of the most imposing.
Made by German firm Güttler and imported by Wox Agri-Services, this Greenmaster unit is 7.7m wide and has a sprung ripper board followed by two rows of sprung tines.
Meanwhile an Accord seeder system distributes grass seed through 24 outlets and the ground is then firmed down by the Güttler’s unusual serrated cast ring rolls. The idea is that the machine can go into any sward, with the ripper board aggressively producing a tilth and the rings giving a firm but dimpled finish.
