More carrying capacity for 530hp Vervaet Hydro Trike
© Vervaet A larger tank and new cab are among the improvements to Vervaet’s Hydro Trike 3.0.
As before, the third generation of the Dutch firm’s light-treading self-propelled slurry applicator is available in three- or five-wheel guise.
The latter continues with the option of a driven mid-axle that now uses axial piston motors and reduction gears to provide 30% more tractive power than that of its predecessor.

Allied to this is a revamped drivetrain, with Vervaet’s VSG 2.0 delivering a further 45% improvement on power transmission below 10kph for working with wider applicators, on hilly ground, or both.
There has been a change on the engine front too, with a 530hp Mercedes MTU replacing the old DAF unit.
It is fitted with a far larger cooling system, originally for the benefit of southern Europe markets but, as it turns out, probably just as relevant to the sun-drenched UK – at least this year.

Capacity boost
Tractor unit aside, output has been given a boost through circa 1cu m expansions of the two tank options, now with 17cu m and 21cu m capacities.
These can be paired with a 9,000- or 13,500-litre/min Borger positive displacement pump and Vervaet’s Cyclone macerator. Suction pipe has been widened from 8in to 10in, and buyers can spec a “superfill” system that shaves 90sec off the loading time.

The firm has also doubled rear linkage lift capacity to 10t for wider implements and raised the front fork to accommodate larger front tyres while keeping overall machine height below 4m.
Meanwhile, operators can enjoy the creature comforts of Claas’ roomier and quieter X11 cab. This is the first to be fitted with Vervaet’s new “machine management system” user interface, which will subsequently be rolled out across its range.
Production is slated to start later this year, with the first UK machines expected to land at Norfolk-based importer J Riley Beet Harvesters in early 2027.
