Quad-X develops trailed 700-litre liquid fertiliser applicator
Quad-X 700-litre spray and fertiliser applicator © Quad-X ATV implements specialist Quad-X has added a 700-litre trailed sprayer to its range, with liquid fertiliser application to grassland very much in mind.
It’s specced primarily to operate behind a UTV and comes with remote in-cab switchgear and numerous options to suit different requirements and preferences.

The focus on applying nutrients to grassland in liquid form is based on some well-known attractions, not least the distribution accuracy inherent in applying materials from a boom.
Sean Blaney of Quad-X said: “Farmers are under more pressure than ever to improve efficiency, reduce inputs and protect the land for the future.
“Liquid fertiliser gives farmers the opportunity to apply nutrients accurately and evenly, helping reduce overlap, minimise striping and improve nutrient uptake while reducing unnecessary losses.”
The 700L Pro Elite sprayer has a galvanised chassis for corrosion resistance and runs on tandem axles carrying flotation tyres covered by shapely mudguards.
A black UV-stabilised poly tank houses the liquid fertiliser (or spray mix) with recirculation plumbing installed to ensure suspension fertilisers remains well mixed.
Quad-X’s SuperPump and pressure gauge are also included, along with a hand lance and 5m hose for spot spraying; a hose reel, engine-driven pump and self-fill systems are among the options available.
At the back, a galvanised mounting frame and booms of 4m, 6m, 8m or 10m wide are installed, with a suspension mechanism designed to keep the structure on an even keel while absorbing sprayer movement over an uneven field surface.
Multiple shut-off sections enable operators to minimise double dosing where passes converge.
Up front, a 50mm ball hitch makes the Quad-X applicator available to side-by-side buggies and larger quad bikes, as well as various 4×4 vehicles.
