Ultra-tough Zedlock security mechanism
The issue of farm security is never far from anyone’s mind, especially not potential thieves.
But this gadget might give them something to think about.
The Zedlock can be fitted to any standard gate and is essentially a conventional, domestic-spec five-lever Union deadlock encased in an ultra-secure zinc-plated steel box.
Replacing the usual spring bolt or latch mechanism, its sliding stainless-steel bolt is shrouded by steel too, making it impenetrable to bolt-cutters or stilsons.
Requiring no modification to the gate itself, it is simply attached with two hex-head bolts that are inaccessible once the gate is locked. The whole unit costs £65.
