10m payout for dairy producers

THE RESIDUARY Milk Marketing Board is to pay a further 10m to 28,500 former suppliers within the next few weeks.

Eligible producers – those registered under the milk marketing scheme in the 1992/93 milk year, or to whom an entitlement was transferred – will receive 8m.

End of year producers – those selling milk to the MMB during the final trading period from April to October 1994 – will share 2m. Most producers will receive both payments, an average of 350 each.
