Accidents action
THE Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is to launch a series of "awareness days" to help cut the death toll on farms.
Farmers who have had little contact with the HSE in recent years and are due a visit will be invited to attend the days, which will feature demonstrations of some of the most frequent agricultural accidents.
Those who attend will be removed from the immediate inspection programme and given time to put into practice what they have seen.
Those who do not attend will receive a routine inspection from HSE. *
