Activists warn of more fur farm attacks
ANIMAL activists have warned of further attacks on fur farms following last weeks release of mink in Hampshires New Forest.
A spokesman for the Animal Liberation Front said the group will continue what it terms “extra parliamentary action” to force new animal welfare legislation.
The spokesman talked of activists “bitter disappointment” at the lack of imminent animal welfare legislation to ban fur farming.
Those tackling the mink problem in Hampshire – including the RSPCA, the Forestry Commission, Countryside Agency, Hampshire police and ministry of agriculture – are to cull all mink in a two-mile area surrounding the targeted farm.
