A HEIFER that drew more than a passing glance from visitors to the Dairy Farming Event at Stoneleigh has now sold for 14,500gns.
Owners E T Genetics timely display of Chartoise Lorelei 10th on the companys stand paid off handsomely when she was offered at the Wyevalley New Horizons sale at Monmouth, Gwent last week.
By the French bull Fatal with a PIN of +£104, she is maternal sister to nine AI bulls in Europe.
Buyer was Robert Horton, for his Hinton herd at Wootton Bassett, Wilts. Mr Horton had earlier invested 10,000gns in Bosside Rita Regina (PIN +£104).
From the famous Ivory Mark family, she is the only Bellwood daughter of Ruby T Rita in the world and all her full brothers are in AI studs.
Other leading bids included 4300gns from Andrew Pearce, Berkley, Glos for maiden heifer Double Dutch Matt Tresa and 4200gns from P J and M Bradley, Isle of Wight for a calf of similar breeding.
