Alternative crops
on new database
A DATABASE of latest research and developments in alternative crops is to be launched by junior farm minister, Elliot Morley, later this month.
The database is the final step in the initial three-year development for the Alternative Crops Technology Interaction Network, a group set up to stimulate industry uptake of non-food crop products and technology. It will enable members of the group to obtain information through the ACTIN enquiry desk or the world wide web.
The database will be launched at ACTINs first major conference on Sept 24, in York.n
