Applicator features 400-litre tank

CONTRACTORS and producers making silage can now go half a day between refills of inoculant with the high volume, high capacity Magnum applicator, says Ecosyl Products.

The Magnum applicator features a 400-litre tank to treat up to 260t of grass, and a variable speed, high pressure pump that claims to deliver up to 19 litres a minute. It also has an in-cab variable speed control box and pressure gauge for calibration, adds the company.

The applicator is said to be suitable for fitting to self-propelled harvesters, large square balers or to the front of a tractor.

It costs £750, including mounting frame, clips and pipes. A 300-litre version is also available (0800-590440, fax 01642-364111).
