Apex oilseed rape gets a tank mix of 3l/ha Compass (iprodione + thiophanate-methyl) and 200ml/ha Fastac (alpha-cypermethrin) on Clive Poveys Winterbourne Farm, Winterbourne, Newbury, Berks to tackle sclerotinia, alternaria and seed weevil. Although drought has hit yield potential on sand/gravel land, this field on chalk is picking up after 45mm of May rain, Mr Povey notes.
