The auction of British Inra 401 sheep at Exeter, Devon, last week marked the first ever such sale. Among the shearling ewes, a purebred sold for £620, while crossbreds sold for £112. The 90 Inra were among the marts offering of over 2400 breeders. Overall, ewes, ewe lambsand rams averaged £70, £69 and £252 respectively.
