&#8226 HAILSHAM market has won the latest stage in its battle for survival after promoters of the Hailsham Cattle Market Bill decided to withdraw their action this week. The Bills sponsors wanted to close the market and build a supermarket on the site, but now say they are willing to find an alternative location for the market as they recognise the importance it plays in livestock marketing in the region.
