Proving it is just as unwise to put all your financial faith in following the fortunes of sterling as it is to grow just one variety of wheat, our competition grain prices did not sustain the promised growth.
Notwithstanding the weakening of sterling on the money markets, the UK is still showing good economic growth and, more importantly for growers, stocks of grain still overhang the domestic market.
