Cobnut harvest got underway last week at John Cannons Roughways Farm, Plaxtol, Kent. The nuts have been grown there for about 25 years and are sold through Kentish Garden to various wholesalers and retail outlets. The pickers come through the seasonal agricultural workers scheme from countries such as Bulgaria, Slovakia and Poland.
