Top turkey…the winning turkey at this weeks National Primestock Show in Staffs from JW and NS Froggatt sold for £33/kg (£15/lb) – or £285 for the bird – to J Pointon, says carcass steward Chris Yates. Forecasts of a shortage of UK produced turkey and less enthusiasm for buying French birds means prices are likely to be good this Christmas, say industry experts.
