Richard Tomlinson has won the 2001 Maize Growers Association Milk and Meat from Maize competition. Mr Tomlinson of Burleydam Farm, Whitchurch, Shropshire has a herd of 190 autumn-calving dairy cows. Maize contributes 60% of forage and is fed as part of a mixed ration to all classes of stock. Judges were particularly impressed by Mr Tomlinsons maize clamp.
