IN BRIEF
• A LARGE Christmas tree plantation has come on to the market. Yaugher Farm, Sittingbourne, Kent, is located on a 95-acre plot and includes 304,000 Nordman Fir and 25,000 Norway Spruce. About 30,000 are cropped each year. The freehold is available from chartered surveying firm Quinton Edwards and the asking price is £1m.
• MUSHROOM farming has been suggested as one way to satisfy the agricultural tie on a substantially discounted property near Exeter.
Built in 1991 Clattercleave House, Longdown, is a five-bedroomed house set in seven acres of pasture. Selling agent Robert Williams is asking £395,000 but without the tie says the property could easily be worth over £0.5m.
