BASIS qualifiers

FARM managers working for CWS Agriculture have achieved a 100% pass rate in the full BASIS qualification. Eighteen have qualified so far and a further 10 will sit the exam shortly.

"We felt that in these days of increasingly complex food safety and legal requirements it was important for all our farm managers to add to their understanding of crop protection inputs," says CWSs John Bewley.

Barrie Orme, chief executive at BASIS, reckons qualified advisers have nothing to fear. "Customers with a better understanding of the significance of crop protection advice who can talk the same language as their adviser should make life easier, not more difficult."n
