Beware swayback

Beware swayback

PRODUCERS concerned that mild weather prompting an early rush of grass growth may increase risk of swayback in lambs should check flock history to see if action is needed.

ADAS nutritionist Pete Kelly suggests flocks with a track record of mineral-related illness are at greatest risk.

Before rushing out and vaccinating against swayback, check flock records, urges Mr Kelly. "Producers who are still unsure should consider calling in their vet to have blood samples checked." &#42
