Boost for cultivation kit

VOGEL and Noot equipment is making a resurgence in Ireland, following a shake-up in Kverne-lands marketing plans. Former Kverneland importer, Murphy Machinery has now taken on the entire range of Vogel & Noot cultivation kit.

While much, if not all, the range has already been seen in the UK, it is interesting to note the differences in plough requirements by Irish growers.

While UK users may forsake the use of individual furrow discs, they appear to be the norm in Ireland. As do smaller beam clearances and point-to-point requirements.

The reason, of course is that few farmers have excessive amounts of surface trash to contend with when ploughing – straw is invariably baled and a significant amount of ploughing is performed on grassland.

There also those who would argue that Irish farmers take a greater pride in their ploughing than their UK counterparts.

Vogel & Noot equipment is now imported into Ireland by Murphy Engineering.
