Broken quota deals a thing of the past

Broken quota deals will become a thing of the past, claims broker BK National Quota Exchange, following the launch of its new quota trading initiative next Monday (June 12).

The on-line Guaranteed Price System (GPS) will provide a transparent, quick and cost-effective quota trading service, says the company, where producers are guaranteed their offer price.

“Agreements made on GPS are legally binding so there is no chance of parties withdrawing because of price changes,” explains NQE manager, Jonathan Smith.

“We have had a lot of interest from producers who say they will certainly use the service.

“Our main challenge will be in convincing vendors and lessors to use it, but signs so far look promising,” adds Mr. Smith.

Farmers who want to take advantage of free registration or who would like further information on the service should contact the NQE on 01452 331166 or go on-line at www.bkquotaonline.co.uk.
