Brown set to back hunting ban
By FWi staff
AGRICULTURE minister Nick Brown is set to vote for a ban on fox-hunting, reports The Times.
An aide said the minister came to the decision after he had “studied and considered very hard the proposals for a licensing system”.
The newspaper says Mr Browns stance will set him on a collision course with farming unions and rural communities.
On Wednesday (17 January) MPs will vote on whether to ban hunting, introduce statutory licensing or allow self-regulation.
