Cargill to shed rubber and coffee
US agribusiness giant Cargill is to dispose of its coffee and rubber businesses, reports the Financial Times.
Instead the Minneapolis-based group will focus on its value-added businesses.
The economic crises in Asia and Brazil in the 1990s hit commodities and prompted some industry consolidation.
Cargills trading and dealing operations include grain, sugar and cocoa.
