Cattle claim due
BEEF producers who sold finished cattle between Oct 1 and Nov 9 last year, and want to claim money from the extension to the governments second beef marketing payment scheme, must submit their claims by Mon, 24 Feb.
A flat-rate payment on each eligible animal will be made. About £7m is available for the claim period and payment is likely to be between £36 and £49 a beast, depending on the number of claims.
Producers must submit proof with their claims that they owned the cattle before Mar 20, 1996, and that they sold the animals for human consumption between Oct 1 and Nov 9 inclusive. *
