Champion gifts from boxers

IIt can be very hard to find something different to give as a present – especially for men. Bedfordshire farmers daughter Clodagh Felce wanted something special to give her fiancé Jon – something that would reflect the family farm. She decided on a bespoke piece of Box-Art.

Box-Art is basically scale models of vehicles and implements in an appropriate setting, boxed in a display case. The company has already made its mark amongst car enthusiasts with its Classic and Sport ranges and now has an agricultural series. This encompasses a wide range of makes of tractors, implements and vehicles plus all the little details like spare tyres, straw bales, logs and pallets which give depth to the scene created. Prices start at £195 for a standard model or £250 for a bespoke piece.

The model Clodagh ordered included a Case MX-135 tractor, a Land Rover Series One, a stock trailer, a quad bike and even an old Mini (she owns a special version Mini Cooper). All the items were matched to 1/32 scale. "I was impressed with the finish of the piece," she says, "and Jon was delighted with it."

For each of the new Agricultural series Box-Art models sold, Classic Car Art will be making a £25 donation to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
