Cordless pruners a trim operator

LATEST power tool from Makita is the UC120DW A-EX cordless pruner for trimming trees, large shrubs and small branches up to 11.5cm (4.5in) in diameter.

Using a 12V 2Ah nickel cadmium rechargeable battery, Makita claims the cordless pruner will make about 65 x 5cm cuts on a one-hour charge.

Operating weight is 2.2kg and the pruners safety specification includes chain brake, twin knuckle guards, tip guard to prevent kickback and safety switch to avoid accidental operation.

Supplied with carry case, one-hour charger, guide bar scabbard, hex wrench, oil supply and file, Makitas cordless pruner costs £328. (01908-211678).
