Crop circles make a comeback

FOUR hundred crop circles perfectly aligned into a 1500ft “psychedelic swirl” have appeared in a Wiltshire wheat field, reports the Daily Mail.

Crop circle experts said this was an exciting discovery set apart from other circles by its sheer size and complexity.

Enthusiasts believe crop circles are proof that aliens have landed, although sceptics say they are the work of pranksters

The newspaper says the land at Milk Hill, Alton Barnes, has been the scene of mysterious circles for years, and small businesses depend on “alien visitations”.

In a letter to The Daily Telegraph, Brian Mindel of Bridgwater, Somerset says crop circle numbers have fallen during the foot-and-mouth crisis.

“It is gratifying to note that the aliens whose spaceships are alleged to be responsible for making crop circles have stayed away,” he writes.

“Maybe they heard about the restrictions for visitors, or perhaps they are afraid of carrying the virus back to their home planets,” suggests Mr Mindel.
