YESTERDAY was another quiet day, with attention turning towards southern-hemisphere crops. The Australian wheat harvest is 40% complete, and quality is not as expected. ConAgra estimates the crop to be under 22 million tonnes, compared with recent forecasts of 24m tonnes, which would have been the second-largest crop on record.
