DC info service for direct suppliers

DAIRY CREST has launched a new information service for its direct suppliers to provide individual milk production details, including volume collected, quota position and quality results as well as latest news.

The free scheme, called e-Farmers, would enable producers to access results as they needed them, said Graham Osborne, Dairy Crest‘s direct supplies director.

“At a time when the industry is asking farmers to take greater responsibility for managing their businesses, I see this as becoming an essential management tool.”

The sentiment was backed by Brian Barnett, chairman of supply group Dairy Crest Direct.
