Double disc ring option
SIMBA CultiPresses and Double Presses originally equipped with cast iron rings now have the option to be retrofitted with double disc rings.
The "DD" rings can also be fitted to Simba Flatliner subsoilers in place of the steel scraper roller.
Claimed by Simba to greatly reduce breakages and blockages, the "DD" rings comprise two discs mounted back to back to form a sharpened blade.
The discs also feature a broad shoulder which is designed to contact 80% of the soil surface to leave a consolidated finish. Introduced a year ago, the "DD" rings are now fitted on 75% of new CultiPresses and Double Presses. The retrofitting offer is open until Nov 12, 1999. *
