Dutch range has new distributor

DISTRIBUTION of the Dutch-made Steketee inter-row weed control equipment is now in the hands of Swineshead-based Tony Deptford Agricultural Marketing, along with Van Dijke potato washing machinery, also from Holland.

Products in the Steketee range include various types of front or rear mounted inter-row units for brassica, salads, maize and sugar beet. There is also a potato inter-row tined cultivator with a ridge forming hood, together with band and under-leaf spraying units.

From Van Dijke comes a rinsing machine to remove loose soil and stone, sufficient, it is said, to meet processor specifications for potatoes coming off light sandy or peat soils. Produce harvested off heavier clay soils can continue through a rotary washing system.

New addition to the Deptford range is the Multi-Trac, a purpose-built tool carrier for specialist inter-row operations. Models range from 20hp to 38hp, prices from £12,000 to £20,000.
