E coli probe cash
THE government has awarded SAC £157,000 to research the survival of E coli 0157 in Scottish soils and water supplies. The three-year study, with aims to identify practices for applying organic waste to land which safeguard surface and ground water, will be carried out in collaboration with scientists at Aberdeen University and the Uni-versity of Guelph in Canada. *
