EU talks tough on GM products

EU environment ministers have called for the rapid conclusion of a tough and binding global pact to regulate trade in genetically modified commodities.

They approved the EUs negotiating position for talks in Montreal next month on a long-delayed bio-safety protocol under the auspices of the United Nations.
