Europes big spud event
POTATO Technology 98 is to be staged at Sutton Bridge, Lincs, on May 13 and 14 next year.
Billed as Europes largest technical trade-show for the potato industry, the event will include a new technology transfer centre aimed at helping growers adopt the latest developments in potato production, handling and storage. More than 150 companies are expected to attend, says event organiser Oliver Statham of the BPC. Visitors will also be able to tour the independently run Sutton Bridge Experimental Unit and Sutton Bridge packing station.
Admission is free to visitors registering with the BPC before the event. *
