Media interest remains high as campaign reaches 18m

Campaign director Julian Gairdner was interviewed on last Sunday’s BBC 1 Politics Show at a farmers’ market in Kent.

“It’s great we’re still receiving interest from mainstream media,” Mr Gairdner said.

“And we’ve been getting very positive responses from our nominated food miles heroes who have received their certificates in the past week.

One telephoned to say how delighted they were to be nominated – The Royal Brompton Hospital, which sources 15% of its food from local farmers and producers in Kent.”

Media coverage means the campaign message has now reached over 18m people.
