FWAG officers more persuasive
FARMERS getting advice from FWAG are more likely to change their management practices than those taking advice from other conservation bodies, according to an independent report for MAFF.
The Ecotech Consulting report shows that visits by FWAG officers increased farmers awareness of the benefits to farming of some conservation measures as well as their advantages for wildlife. It found almost 90% of farmers were happy with the service and that it offers significantly better value for money than other conservation advice providers. *
