Gateshead grain warehouse gets Lottery funding

The National Lottery is to give £33.4m to a scheme to transform the
Baltic Flour Mills, Gateshead, on the Tyne, into a £46m international
visual arts centre. The disused grain warehouse project will also get an Arts
Council offer of £1.5m guaranteed revenue funding for three years from
2001. The rest of the money should come from public and private sources.
