Gibbon consolidates position in France

LATEST bull proofs from France see Southwind son Gibbon strengthen his position in the number one spot with Ugela Bell son Fatal (BL) close behind (see table).

Gibbon has a UK conversion at 68% rel of 1144kg milk, 27kg (-0.33%) fat, 36kg (0.00%) protein and £126 PIN – ranking him as the third highest PIN bull now available in the UK. Fatal is only slightly lower on PIN at £122 but has a UK type score of 2.3 against Gibbons 1.5.

Ned Boy son Elmspring takes the number three spot at £112 PIN, closely followed by Cleitus son Dombinator with £107 PIN. Ugela Bell son Fecamp, from the Sweet cow family, moves up £14 PIN to £99.

Two new Southwind sons are Guichet and Frimas. Guichet is out of a Cleitus and boasts £100 PIN and over 1000kg milk. Frimas is out of a Rotate dam and is £98 PIN.

Other newcomers performing well on PIN are the Aerostar son Green Aero at £96 PIN and the Sammy son Harmonique, easy calving with £95 PIN. Highest type newcomer is Leadman son Gaube Lead with £95 PIN and a type score of 2, only bettered by Fatal and Dombinator. &#42
