Handy detector reveals mastitis

EARLY mastitis detection is possible with the simple and easy-to-use Wescor Mas-d-tec, now available in the UK from CSP.

The hand-held electronic instrument measures electrical conductivity in a small sample of milk to detect the onset of mastitis infection, claims the company.

Used in the milking parlour, the Mas-d-tec allows immediate results for early mastitis detection and treatment.
