Herbicide approval
RESIDUAL herbicide Dacthal (chlorthal-dimethyl) has been granted approval for weed control in navy and dwarf French beans.
Approved under the Specific Off-Label Approval system, horticultural supplier Certis says the product presents one of very few residual weed control options in those crops.
Many residual herbicides had been lost as a result of the European pesticide review, the company explains. Dacthal is effective at controlling broad-leaved weeds, including fat hen and polygonum species, it says. *
