THE HOME Grown Cereals Authority‘s revised website has been voted by Crops magazine as the number one site for 2005.
The revised site www.hgca.com went live in July 2004 and has clearly built on the success of the old version by providing more free information to levy payers and subscribers in a clear, simple format.

The new features add to the existing range of practical topic sheets, variety data (which many other sites link into), statistics, cereals and oilseeds market data and excellent e-mail bulletins for subscribers.
“There is a far stronger focus on targeting information – much of the information is restricted to levy payers and subscribers, which has proved popular,” said the HGCA‘s Marsha Ribeiro, responsible for the site.
The market data centre is an area that the HGCA is building on more and more, trying to service demand as required, she said.
“We are developing a new policy area covering CAP reform and WTO. We hope this will be going live by the beginning of next year.”
