uBUTCHERS could bear the brunt of new rules to improve labelling on fresh and frozen beef, announced last week by MAFF. The new labels will reveal where an animal was born and slaughtered and how it was reared. The Beef Labelling Scheme will come into force on Jan 1, 1998.
