&#8226 RURAL women across the UK converged on London on Wednesday as part of a worldwide campaign to promote women in agriculture, organised by the International Fed- eration of Agricultural Producers.

designated Oct 15 as World Rural Womens Day to highlight the largely unrecognised contribution of women farmers to the production of food and development of rural areas.
