• FOR SALE by informal tender to be received no later than 20 Dec are about 206 acres of grade 1 silt in Lincs offered in three lots.
The bulk of the land at Lime Tree Farm, Frampton, near Boston, 191 acres, is guided at £860,000 with the remainder, 7.7 and 6.9 acres averaging a guide of £4961/acre and £4956/acre respectively. Brown & Co are handling the sale.
• NEAR Bedale, North Yorkshire a 43-acre grassland unit was offered for sale by auction on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council.
The steading including a three-bedroom bungalow, a range of modern and traditional farm buildings and nearly 4 acres of paddock failed to reach its reserve. However, three lots of grassland, 19, 9 and 10 acres sold for an average £2370/acre. Auctioneer was Andrew Purkiss, Mouchel North Yorkshire.
• IN two lots about 32 acres of grassland at Ipplepen, Dartmoor, Devon was successfully sold at auction by Sawdye & Harris.
Near the village and well fenced the bidding for 24 acres started at £35,000 and the land was declared sold at £70,000. The remainder, about 7 acres, averaged £4120/acre.
