Keenan unveils its new feeder range

MAKING its Dairy Event debut was Richard Keenans FP (Farm-feed Processor) diet feeders.

The five-model range employs a series of blades inside the feeder, to enable the machines to handle big bale silage, hay and straw.

This is achieved by using a stationary full length knife bolted to the top edge of the barrel and a series of smaller blades in the base of the machine.

As the main rotor revolves, the bale is cut by the top knife as the bale is lowered into the machine. The smaller knives continue the process, though limit final chop length to about 30mm (1.5in).

Strengthened paddle legs, fitted stronger bearings and improved rubber sweeper flaps complete the changes.

Using a combination of knives within the feeder body, Keenans FP range is able to handle big bale silage, hay and straw.
