Label OK for blight

POTATO growers have the option to use a protectant blight fungicide right up until harvest, following new label approvals.

Shirlan (fluazinam) has been granted a zero harvest interval and a cut in the minimum interval between applications to five days.

The change will most benefit those growers who rely heavily on daily market shifts to decide when to lift their crop for the premium fresh "fluffy-skin" potato market, says John Keer of Lincs-based agronomy/trials firm Growscience. &#42
