Lambing on the curriculum
PUPILS at Ysgol y Berwyn School will be busy in the coming weeks tending for lambs produced by their own flock.
The Guardian profiles this secondary school on Lake Bala where students study for their NVQ in agricultural studies.
In other initiatives, the school is the venue for an adult education course in farm administration and Sunday-morning workshops in sheepdog handling.
Last year, the school staged its own sheepdog trials, attracting 70 entries from across the country.
