IF you are looking to go logging this winter, Lawrence Edwardss latest saw bench could be of interest.

The Austrian-built Posch RZ-600 tractor-driven saw bench is a moving table design suitable for logging and planking. Using a chrome-alloy blade, timber up to 20cm (7.8in) thick can be cut. For heavier work, a tungsten-tipped blade can be fitted.

Vee-belts drive the blade, with drive disconnected via a foot-operated emergency stop. The RZ-600 is priced at £995 (01562-66233).
