Low level OP OK
THE Department of Health has said it accepts current medical opinion that low level exposure to organophosphates does not cause chronic illness. In a letter to Andrew George (Lib Dem, St Ives), junior health minister Baroness Jay said that while exposure to high levels of OPs could cause acute poisoning, there was no evidence of chronic illness through low level exposure.
